Provenance, mystery, and raw luxury are the identifying traits of Gretchen Ventura’s collections. Having been passionate about making jewelry for many years, Ventura, President and CEO of Technology Project Group, Inc., has developed an eye for jewels rich with culture and hereditary value.
Ventura has always harbored a passion for jewelry and adornment.“I realized how important it is to do what you love,” Ventura says of her year-old jewelry business.
Ventura fell in love with Indian raw and pave diamonds on one of her trips abroad. A trip to Africa yielded Yoruba tribe heirloom beads from that had been passed between mothers and daughters for generations. Ventura also has a penchant for Indonesian and South American beads. “The allure [of these pieces] is their story and wonder and mystery,” Ventura says.
Ventura’s jewelry is made to offset simple, sophisticated dressing. A self-proclaimed Rick Owens girl, Ventura loves adorning her ensembles with statement pieces that juxtapose rawness and elegance. Raw diamond drop earrings and sculptural necklaces achieve the perfect “yin and yang” balance between earthy and cutting-edge.
